Antologia dell’Amore Siciliano
Five stories, five bottles.
Each label is a mosaic of myth
and poetry, a fragment of Sicily
that intertwines love and destiny,
preserved in extra virgin olive oil
like in a precious treasure chest.
Le Serenate Siciliane
On summer nights, beneath flower-filled balconies
and starry skies, young
lovers sang songs and
melodies. The guitar vibrated, the
voice rose like a prayer, and
love declared itself to the rhythm
of the music. Sicilian serenades
are sound poetry,
they are the heartbeat that becomes
song, they are the promise of a
love born between notes and
silences, between expectation and hope.
Aci e Galatea
A shepherd with a pure heart and a
sea nymph who danced among the
waves: Acis and Galatea loved each other
with the strength of youth and the
sweetness of innocence. But
the envy of the Cyclops Polyphemus
transformed their happiness into
tragedy. From Aci’s blood
a river was born that still
flows toward the sea today,
carrying with it the song of
Galatea. And love becomes
nature, becomes eternal water,
liquid memory of a
feeling that never dies.
Tancredi e Clorinda
The Christian knight and the Saracen warrior
faced each other in a duel,
unaware that the blade would separate
two souls destined to love each other. Only
at the moment of death did Clorinda
recognize Tancredi’s love, and
her last breath was consecrated by
baptism. It is the tragedy of an
impossible love, fulfilled in the final
instant and becoming eternal. A
flame that burns beyond life, a
song that vibrates between faith and passion.
Federico II e Bianca Lancia
The Swabian emperor, a man of
power and culture, and Bianca,
a woman of grace and passion:
their love was secret,
tormented, but indomitable.
Frederick, on Bianca’s deathbed,
married her to give her the
title of queen, consecrating a
bond that had defied
politics and convention. It is the
story of a love that resists
laws and time, that
rises above reason and
becomes a legend of fidelity and
destiny.
Le teste di moro
A young Sicilian woman and a foreign Moorish man
loved each other passionately. But the discovery of their
betrayal transformed their
passion into revenge: the head
of her beloved was severed and
transformed into a ceramic vase, where flowers and basil
continued to grow. Thus were born the famous Moorish
Heads, a symbol of a love
that burns, that devours, that
leaves behind it beauty and
warning. And Sicily tells of the
strength and ferocity of feelings.
